Pastor Bob Hallman
Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Kauai

Pastor Bob has been on the Island for over ten years pastoring Calvary Chapel Kauai. He is married to Becky and has two boys John and Michael. God has given Bob a vision to raise up ministry leaders and missionaries through the Bible College. He teaches core classes every semester and is heavily involved in discipleship.



Pastor Josh Turansky
Director of Kauai Bible College

Josh Turansky is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College and has served at the main campus in Murrieta California. He is married to Melinda, and has two boys: Hudson and Hayden. Josh has a passion for young peoples lives and is blessed to be apart of the Bible College program.



Mark Swenson
Dean of Men, John Class, Hebrews Class

Mark is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible Bible College and served on staff at the Bible College in Murrieta for four years. He taught the book of James for consecutive semesters while in Murrieta. He has just recently been serving at a church in Montana. His heart is for discipling young men, and evangelism. He is a great addition to the Kauai campus.



Pastor Bruce Baumgartner
Pastoral Epistles Class

Pastor Bruce is an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Kauai. He oversees the worship ministry, youth ministry and church office. He is a gifted teacher and has faithfully taught Pastoral Epistles since the inception of the College.




Pastor Merv Walker
Church History Course

Merv Walker was born in New Zealand to missionaries in Indonesia. He spent much of his childhood there, as well as a couple of years here in Hawai'i. His parents, Dal & Dorothy Walker later established a Bible School in Tawamangu, Sekolah Alkitab which has trained over 3,000 students.
 
Merv attended Southern Methodist University of Southwestern Assemblies of God in Waxahachie, TX. He then graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in history. While serving as assistant pastor to Gospel Lighthouse Church in Dallas, TX for nearly 4 years, he was challenged to pioneer a new work in Garland, TX. There, together with his wife and family he pastored New Life Fellowship for 21 years. In 1991, Merv and Darlene received the call to come and serve at Kaua'i Bible Church where they continue today.


Mike Lagana
I. B. S. Acts, Galatians / Ephesians, Genesis

Mike is a contractor on the island of Kauai and the father of seven kids. His passion for ministry began while in YWAM. He has taught Bible College classes at Calvary Chapel Kauai for the last four years. He is married to his wife Sarah.




Pastor Steve Rex
Genesis Class

Pastor Steve serves as Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel North Shore. He is a favorite teach amongst students because of his ability to make applications from the text.









Pastor Steve Thompson
Systematic Theology

Pastor Stephen Thompson is the kahu (pastor) of North Shore Christian Church in Kilauea, Hawaii. He has been there since the church started in the Summer of 2001. Previous to that he pastored churched in Hanalei, HI; Cedar Hill, Texas; Lyndonville, NY; and Las Vegas, NM. He received his BA degree in Religious Studies from Wheaton College (1975), the Th.M degree in Systematic Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary (1980). H was ordained to the Christian Ministry at Faith Bible Church, DeSoto, Texas in 1980. He has three grown children and lives with his wife, Tricia in Princeville, Hawaii.


Pastor Harold Kilborn

Pastor Kilborn is the pastor of Koloa Church. He is a life long student and avid reader.
