Practicums and Labs

A practicum is a college
course, often in a specialized field of study, that is
designed to give students supervised practical application
of a previously studied theory. Practicums are common for
education majors.
Our required practicums are as follows:
- Christian Servanthood (CM199)
- Servanthood Evangelism
- Christian Research and Development
Christian Servanthood
Course Number: CM199
Course Credits: 2
Course Hours: 4 hours per week, 56 total per semester
This is a required class for all full-time students living
on or off campus. The class requires that the student serve
at either the Men's campus or the women's campus for four
hours a week; doing assigned tasks. The tasks include
housekeeping, landscaping, construction, kitchen. Students
abilities and physical disabilities are taken into account
when these tasks are assigned at the beginning of the
semester.
The class serves two key purposes. First, the manual labour
that is done by the student cuts down on the operational
cost of the college and intern effects the cost of tuition.
Second, the classes teaches the student to be a servant to
their brothers and sisters on a weekly basis.
